When we can identify the root of a behavior, the situation and circumstances behind the behavior, we can better understand what is going on, and what we can do to manage, to support the child and the family.
Erin offered an online course, The Roots of Behavior in June 2020 to help parents understand the reasons for the behaviors they were seeing, and ways to manage and support the child and the family.
The 4 reasons for behavior discussed here are: Escape, Tangible, Attention/Connection, and Sensory or a combination of all of these.
